We began our Fall/Winter photoshoot early Sunday morning in July at our chosen location of Birmingham. We were lucky enough to get good weather in the first few hours of the day and have the privilege of an empty Birmingham city centre. The majority of the shoot took place in Colmore row, the business district of Birmingham just opposite St. Philips Cathedral.
The brief of the shoot was to portray the bold, ambitious, powerful petite woman of today in work, exhibiting a stylish and sexy undertone with her clothing. The photos needed a good British backdrop like the Stucco Georgian houses you see in our lookbook.
Our photographer for the day was Ian Egner of Egner photography, whose years of location shoot experience was put to great use in capturing the best lighting for the shots on a dull wet day. Ian took a myriad of landscape and portrait shots of both models over an 8 hour period hampered by rain.
Our two petite models were chosen for their different height and body frame to reflect how Jeetly garments would fit on different sizes. Lauren the smaller of the two models was 5'1" and a size 6, whereas Rachel was 5'3" and a size 8. The garments fit both models perfectly as expected and were accessorised with their own shoes and jewellery. Lauren and Rachel were both extremely professional in enduring a long day running in and out of cold wind and rain.
Onlookers didn't bat an eyelid as the girls' business attire fit the environment even though it was a Sunday morning!
Emily our hair and make-up artist did a great job on their look, emphasising the eyes but keeping the make-up simple enough to suit a corporate environment.
Luckily shoot locations were all in close proximity, within a 1 mile radius, offering a great diversity of buildings in the City.
Jess Jeetly, creator of the brand was in charge of styling the models, directing poses and choosing locations for photography.
Join us at our next photoshoot in a different location for our Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
